5000 miles over 6 weekends

Can you freaking believe it? I drove all those miles in just 12 days. It took me 8 bottles of Aquafina, a bottle of Dasani, 4 Rest Areas stops, a dozen food exits and NO speeding tickets to drive those miles. Facts aside, all the trips were special to me in some way.

Newark, NJ + Manhattan, NY - 1300 miles
I started off this long 10-hour journey over long weekend and let me tell you, its exhausting! I tested my limits of driving alone in this trip. You know, after 8 hours in traffic, you are at a different level than other drivers. I did not even feel the speed, the traffic noise and the AC of the car. I was like Neo from the Matrix. I pushed my car to 90-100 miles on the NJ Turnpike while it was full of traffic and dodged all the way to my destination cutting my time by a couple of hours. I was changing 5 lanes at a time just to get ahead of those cars. I moved so fast that others thought I was being chased by the cops that they actually made way for me :) For a second, I thought time was slower than me ;)
Anyways, cut the crap - I made this trip to meet my bro' whom I didn't met for the past 1 year.

Clemson, SC - 700 miles
Next weekend, I made a nostalgic trip to Clemson (read about it here).

Germantown, MD - 600 miles
This is a residential town near Baltimore where my aunt/uncle stays. I called my bro' down here and had to make my 3rd DC trip to show him the monuments around (thank god! we skipped the muesums!!!). To reach MD, I have to cross the dreaded state of VA where people fear speeding. I would say, 90% of people driving over I85 would be at or below the speed limit. Ofcourse, I was amongst the 10% of them who drove like 10mph more than the speed limit. The fact is the cops around there are so strict, smart and ruthless, they'll catch you sooner or later if you speed.

Clemson, SC - 700 miles
Oh yea, you read it right! I was back in my US hometown after just 2 weeks! That's because this time, I wanted to show off my university to my parents. I showed them around in the University town, Stadium, workplace, golf course, all my previous apartments and the campus.

Germantown, MD - 600 miles
This was not much of a vacation trip but rather kind of like, cab service. For my parents. I just dropped them around to my uncle/aunt's place. I had an old-fashioned Indian dinner (along with American wine) with them. I returned back the other day while my parents headed off to NJ/NY (to meet my bro').

Asheville, NC - 700 miles
So the last weekend marked my last of the 6-in-a-series weekend trip. It was a pure vacation trip. Ironically, the previous 5 trips made me feel exhausted that I thought of taking a break from all relatives, friends and I headed off to Asheville with my parents (their last weekend with me). Its a beautiful place and since my mom loves fresh stuff, we used to stop by some road-side farmer's shop or juice stall and enjoy the *simple lifestyle*. For me too, it was a different experience and I enjoyed it. We also went to a vineyard for wine-tasting but the wines weren't that good. I am not too good with remembering wine names but I remember their taste and I thought I had tasted much better wines than those available at that wineyard. Anyway, it was my first wine-tasting experience (and for my parents too) and was something unique.

This weekend, I was at home and I thought I kind of missed something. I just wasted away 2 days. I am now thinking of getting on track of doing something interesting from next weekend onward (besides partying and booze).
