Back To School

I was in Clemson this weekend and boy was it a nostalgic trip. From the lush green Bowman field to the lively Clemson Downtown - it was all the same! I met my old friends at Keith street, friday night playing pool. Believe me, I went straight to Keith street the time I reached Clemson. Ofcourse, I passed by Astro, our $2 movie hall (which shows 2-month old movies), Louis Bregger's house (his backyard was our pee-hole :)) and Village Green (desi-hub).

It all started when I thought of meeting up Dsu and Korade in Atlanta. As it so happened, Patil's research-group friend had invited him to Clemson too. Now, with a lil pursuasion, Viraj joined us too. Keyur, my roommate, was ready to come Atlanta/Clemson but last minute "health problems" forced him to stay home. Even I was not sure of making this trip then till Dsu made a final call to invite us in. And since I wanted to meet Dsu's girlfriend about whom I had heard such good things, I wasn't disappointed meeting her. She loves "Seinfeld" and I happily welcomed her in our club. But yea, she complained that all we talk about is food, where to go next and what to eat next :)

Ok, so after around 6 months, Clemson experience did not change. Dsu had more scales in his skin and in a month's time, he may become a new species. No hard feelings Dsu but please use Dove :) Korade was as usual cool dude (man! he's got a job of a research scientist ... lol). Most of the time, Korade was showing off his Acura TL and his driving skills. He's in the making of junior Pamya getting the best out of the most you can think of. Also, Korade takes 2 hours and 6-8 shops to do sticker shopping. "Sticker Shopping" is something like going out to buy a small thing (like a Clemson sticker for car) but landing up with something bigger, like a Clemson title plate :)

Viraj was with his ex-roommate for some time and we caught up with him for playing pool. And yea, his pool skills really needs polishing. Patil was off to meet his research-lab friend and I was at the mercy of Korade, Dsu and Pinky. BTW, Saturday afternoon lunch was at Seasons which is an awesome location with water fountains, lake and golf course behind it. That place is awesomely nostalgic for me since I used to work part-time for Madren catering. Saturday evening, we were hanging out in Village Green outside apt 147 and chit-chatting about usual *stuff*. You girls might call it gossip :)

Sunday morning, we set off for a boat ride. It was our first time for most of us and did not even bother to follow directions. After 2 hours, we realised we were lost somewhere in the lake. Fortunately, Viraj and I have great sense of direction (hahaha... bragging about myself :)) ...) and brought the team back to base. Boating by ourselves was so much fun and the tube ride (a bubble tube tied behind the boat) is awesomo...

I like the idea of visiting my hometown every few months but need all my old pals out there, like a reunion. Pal, Bonda - you guys listening?
